Spring Fresh Floral Workshop

We are delighted to welcome you to the gardens of The Nesting Post for a relaxing and enjoyable morning immersed in nature.

Guest facilitator and florist stylist, Kathryn Sommerlad, of The Long Paddock Florist, will gently guide your creative soul as you arrange an abundant free flowing compote centrepiece.

Kathryn is well-known for designing stunning country style arrangements using the flowers and greenery foraged from the gardens and natural landscape around her - the way floristry used to be!

Relax and wander our extensive country gardens while cutting and gathering Spring blossoms - roses, salvias, daisies, lavender and annuals. Complement these with blooms and foliage from local flower growers and foraged treasures from the long paddock to create your arrangement.

When your centrepiece is packaged in a sustainable travel box to ensure it makes it home safely, gather and enjoy a delicious morning tea together.

Located on the outskirts of Allora, a quaint historic Darling Downs village, The Nesting Post cottage and our residence are nestled amidst rambling country gardens with charming rural views. The Nesting Post is a dreamy curated 1929 cottage available for short term stays.

An apron, secateurs and all floristry equipment will be provided, including a compote bowl and sustainable travel box.  We suggest you bring a hat.
